'Peace' ...a metaphor

while tightly budded
in its infant stage of life
holes were formed in ‘Peace’

Not unlike man's attempt at peace; there is always someone insidious attempting to destroy peace before it has a chance to bloom. Great haiku! Peace Rose is my all time favorite, by the way. :)

Oh, very intense and rightly so, as a rose itself is very intense. Not only in looks is it intense but in scent. Very nice Haiku. Have a great week Kim. Thanks and Happy Haiku to you.

I was thinking specifically about the ongoing tumult in Syria; the weekend murders of women and children. Of course that's only the most recent case of unfulfilled peace.

Didn't know 'Peace" was your favorite. I'm thankful I don't have to contend with deer!

I like your haiku, Kim. I was thinking of Memorial Day in relation to peace.
